As Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology continues to bring innovations to the creative industry, calls are growing here to establish regulations on its use and protection of artists' copyrights. Naver Webtoon, Korea's largest portal Naver's digital comics platform, unveiled its artificial intelligence image generator Toon Filter earlier this month, which recreates a photo in drawing styles of the 10 popular artists publishing their works on Naver Webtoon, including Lee Dong-geon of “Yumi's Cells,” 232 of “Love Revolution,” Park Tae-jun of “Lookism,”and Oh Sung-dae of “Tales of the Unusual.”
